I've become obsessed with making Bento lunches for the kids since we moved to Japan. I am not as creative as some of the examples I've seen online, but I have a lot of fun preparing them. It's a great way to make sure the kids get a healthy meal that is appropriately portioned. Also, since Brandon is our little picky eater, I know he'll be getting enough for lunch.

| Ryan's lunch with the onigiri I made the night before, along with edamame, mini Oreos, fruit gummies and goldfish. |
| Brandon gets Spaghettios today along with the little Oreos, goldfish, and raisins on toothpicks. |
| I'm going to eat lunch with Brandon today, so I made myself a Bento. I've been wanting to try making "tamagoyaki" which is a rolled omelet. |
| Thanks to the 100 Yen store, I now have a proper tamagoyaki pan! |
| I don't like plain eggs, so I sprinkled a bit of dill and pepper to compliment the eggs and cucumbers. |
| Ta Da! I have potato salad with a few popcorn chicken in one section and the tamagoyaki, edamame and apples in the other section. |
| Isn't that little spoon just the cutest thing? Maybe that's why I like making these so much - I look for anything miniature (i.e. mini Oreos, goldfish, etc.) to put in the boxes. |
